 Scott
Egan was born in New Jersey and has been in the public eye from
the very beginning. He was
the first 'no-pin' Pampers baby and continued to do commercials as a child.
He was discovered by a baseball scout as a sophomore in high school. Scott
went on to play professional baseball for the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee
Brewers organizations. When an arm injury curtailed his sports career,
Scott came back to acting. Prior to joining the cast of General Hospital,
Scott appeared on Just the Ten of Us and Parker Lewis Can't Lose.
He read for a contract role on Port Charles but was cast on ABC's flagship
daytime drama General Hospital. He has played the character of "Johnny,"
the bodyguard with the dynamic presence, since 1997. Scott makes the most of his
moments on screen much to the delight of his many fans. In
addition to his role on GH Scott guest starred on C-16:FBI on ABC, One
Life to Live and a pilot, High.
His
baseball abilities served him well when he was asked to play Yankee Bill Stafford
in Billy Crystal's 61* on HBO. His other feature film work includes Ed,
Total Action, Free Thinkers and A Divorce Made In Heaven.
On stage Scott had performances in Biloxi Blues, A Loss of
Roses, A Hatful of Rain and the lead role of "Paul" in Barefoot
In the Park. Scott had the opportunity to perform with his "boss"
from General Hospital on stage. Maurice Benard and Scott performed a scene
from David Mamet's American Buffalo as part of the Los Angeles Media &
Education Center's evening of live theater. "I'd done this play before and I knew
that Scott would be perfect in it," shares Benard. "Our relationship connected
on stage just like it does on screen." Scott volunteers his time to
many charities believing that it is important to give something back.

the magic of movie making and the beauty of their dreams. Motto:
Always try to make other people happy. Personal Goal:
To surround myself with people who always try to generate positive energy. When

I know now that it is not possible in baseball but by the Grace of God maybe someday
I will be able to achieve this goal with acting. Quote:
I guess my quote would be, actually I have two I try to live by, "The
less we think of ourselves the more of a person we'll become" and "The future
belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
